Data handling at Filing Clarity
Plain English. One page. Print this page →
How we use your data
- We monitor SEC EDGAR on your behalf for the public companies you specify.
- We store only the ticker symbols you ask us to monitor.
- We do not store, analyze, or share your clients' identities, account numbers, or position values.
- All portfolio data you upload is stripped to ticker symbols immediately. The original file is never stored.
What we store
- Your email address and account credentials (encrypted).
- The ticker symbols on your watchlist.
- Filing Clarity signals generated from public SEC filings (all sourced from SEC.gov — public information).
- Portfolio group names you create (e.g. “Johnson Family” — we store the label, not who the Johnsons are).
What we don't store
- Client names or identities.
- Account numbers or custodian data.
- Dollar values of any position.
- Any non-public information.
The data source
- All signals are generated from SEC EDGAR — the public database of legally required corporate disclosures. Every filing we analyze is publicly available at sec.gov.
Your data is not sold
- Filing Clarity does not sell, share, or license your data to any third party.
